I'm a product designer with more than 3 years of experience in a variety of domains.

I’m driven by curiosity and a desire to push boundaries, dive into complex UX challenges, and grow through collaboration with creative people.
As a 3rd year Design & Business student at the University of Waterloo, I’m actively involved building the design community at Waterloo by organizing Figma events as a Campus Leader.
My goal is to design with purpose, create impactful experiences that prioritize HCI, empathy, and scalability—solutions that evolve alongside users and technology.
I find fulfillment in giving back to my community, often mentoring or participating as a panelist in hackathons, design projects, and DEI initiatives for young teens.

What has been my journey to design?
I’ve always been drawn to creativity—through drawing, painting, dancing, and designing. At 8, I started sketching dresses, inspired by my grandmother and mom, both skilled in sewing.
Design has always been a way to evoke creativity and emotions—whether it's through a dress or a digital experience. I aim to create designs that capture attention, stir emotions, and make a positive impact, whether it’s a simple stop sign or a groundbreaking app.
My design journey has been fulfilling, driven by creativity, problem-solving, and a desire to leave a lasting impact.
What are my hobbies?

What community means to me = fulfilment?
Being part of communities and helping with DEI initiatives brings me a sense of fulfillment because I can help teens from backgrounds that might not have access to the same opportunities or resources. I’ve come from that place, and I want to give others the same chance to thrive. When I help others grow and succeed, it reinforces my purpose and makes my journey all the more meaningful. It’s about creating pathways for others to reach their full potential, just as I was given the chance to do.

Chrisandra showed a very positive attitude and an ability to switch between disparate skillsets in the realms of design and development. These skills include Figma UI design, prototyping and design system development and then transitioned into React UI development. Her ability to collaborate with peers was very impressive and she had a Very Good term as intern!
